With all of the snow, the kids had lots of time for indoor creativity. This is Jason, Asher, and Marin with their dog family. (Obviously the gold fish was adopted.)
The kids made a GIANT blanket fort one Sunday.
One afternoon Asher set out to climb and slide down all of the snow banks in our yard. This is my personal favorite.
We had a wonderful time one night playing in our winter theme park/yard. The kids dug a double tunnel through our biggest snow bank, turned the front walk into a sledding run, and carved slides into every bank they could find.
With all of the snow and occasional rain, everyone was worried about roofs collapsing. This is Shayne during the 6 hours he spent raking snow and knocking off icicles.
I never got a picture of Marin in her Christmas dress on Christmas, so here she is. She smiled beautifully in the bedroom, but when I moved her to a more photographically appropriate location, she was a total clown.
Miles introduced his sister to the joys of iPods. I think she likes it.
My eye doctor gave me this flower when I came in for an eye exam. He has a green house and grew it himself. It was such a beautiful sight in the midst of this crazy winter!

We've completely given up shoveling the front walk, so now it is a sled run from start to finish.
