Marin's First Sledding Day - 8 January 2011
Yes, I do realize that I have more than one child, and all of them were sledding together, but I was so excited for Marin go sledding for the first time, that I didn't take a single picture of anyone else. I didn't even realize what I had done until I uploaded the pictures from the camera. I'm sure we'll go sledding again and I'll post all sorts of cute pictures of my darling boys. Until then, here is my Marin. She had a blast, except for when the snow would fly up in her face. No matter how much she cried, though, she kept asking to go again. That's my girl!

Bye Bye Gingerbread Houses - 2 January 2011
New Year's Day 2010
To start the year off right, Dallin and I went for a run. Well, more of a walk, but we did run for a little while. I love that my boys like to go running with me. When we got home, we found everyone else in the middle of a big snowball fight. We didn't get a White Christmas this year, but it snowed the day after Christmas, so there was plenty for snowballs, and snowmen.

Asher's very little snowman with the froggy eyes.

Jason's sweet little snow man.

Miles' snow monster. Notice the tanks attacking, the snowmen on the ground, and the snowmen in the monster's hands.

New Year's Eve 2010
Welcome Blue 12-31-2010
Soon after we got our two birds, Blue met a disasterous end by the jaws of Dixie. Believe me, we almost lost TWO pets that day. Dixie spent a LONG time in the laundry room that day. Jason had already been saving to buy his own parakeet, so when he had enough, he decided to buy another blue parakeet. He is also named Blue, and is the same shade of blue as the first Blue. He has a very spunky personality, and sings a lot. We are very happy that he has joined the family.

Christmas Day 2010
Here are all of my boys in the hats I made them. I love that THEY love them.
Miles enraptured by his Beyblades and stadium.
Jason and a Beyblade, of course.
Asher and his boat.
Marin and her Mimi from Gwen Adzima. Asher also got one, and named him Pozo.
Marin and her boa.
This is what the boys did almost the entire day.
Asher and his candy.
Marin in her tutu.
All of us with our favorite gifts.
Miles was very disappointed that he never got to see the Thanksgiving turkey before it was cut up, so we had a turkey for Christmas dinner too.
Christmas Eve 2010
We started off Christmas Eve by finally making and decorating our gingerbread houses. My mother sent a gingerbread house mold this year, so I decided to make a house for each of the boys. Asher made his house from a kit I had purchased before my mother sent the mold. He also decorated his the day before, so I don't have any pictures of his. You can see it, though, in the background of Dallin's picture.

This year, for the first time ever, we had friends over for Christmas Eve: Scott, Megan, and Topher Huff. They joined us for fondue and the hand puppet Christmas story.

After they went home, we did a Skype gift exchange with Shayne's family. That made for a VERY late Christmas Eve. The kids LOVE seeing their cousins open the gifts they sent for them. Our family received an amazing gift from Shayne's parents this year. Marilyn painted this for us. It is based on the style of the Kershisnik print we have entitled Father and Son Dancing. Marilyn's painting is fittingly entitled Crazy House. I was speachless, and even cried a little (which is VERY unlike me). We will always cherish it.

Ah, Christmas Eve after Santa came.
